For years, Romania — and by association, Moldova — was seen as Europe’s reliable outsourcing engine. Need something done fast and affordably? Send it east.
Figure 1. Romania, Moldova & EBS Integrator at the Nexus Pavilion
At Nexus Luxembourg 2025, we helped change that stereotype.
With 8,500+ attendees (a 51% increase from 2024) and a dedicated national Pavilion hosted by the Romania–Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), we at EBS Integrator stood shoulder to shoulder with other forward-thinking tech teams — showing systems that already deliver. Platforms already powering compliance-heavy banking flows, automating public sector operations, and securing logistics in real time.
From outsourcing to innovation
Most tech events are filled with future plans:
— “Here’s what we’re building.”
— “Here’s where we’re going.”
But truth is, some teams operate under constant pressure — the kind that doesn’t make headlines, but carries real weight.
A failed API call in a logistics platform can stall deliveries across three countries.
A broken workflow in a public agency delays citizen services and invites audit flags.
A bug in a banking app can erode trust overnight — or worse, open up compliance risks.
That’s not an environment where you throw spaghetti at the wall.
That’s where every line of code, every module, every permission — has to work. First time. No excuses.
That’s the world EBS.io, our low-code platform — was built for.
Figure 2. EBS.io platform modeled around the workflows and branding of a microfinance institution — covering credit scoring, lead tracking, and loan management in a unified, low-code environment.
So instead of talking about vision, our conversations sounded like this:
—“Here’s how we digitised credit workflows — without touching the core banking system.”
—“Here’s how we enforce GDPR-safe, role-based access across multi-level institutions.”
—“Here’s how field teams trigger, track, and complete tasks from one interface — live.”
But what made this moment more than just a demo was who we stood with, and the fact that we were united in our beliefs.
The Romanian Pavilion, powered by RomLux, gave us a platform — and credibility — to speak directly with decision-makers, without the fluff. And we weren’t alone.
We stood alongside Agora Robotics, AROBS, EdNeos, Hatwit, Euro-Testing, New Akord Security, Lendrise, Trust Hive, and the Romanian Fintech Association — each one showcasing tech that’s not just impressive, but actually running. From AI and cybersecurity to education platforms and automation, each team brought a piece of the bigger picture.
Some tackled orchestration. Others focused on robotics or secure workflows. We showed how to connect it all — with a platform that’s modular, interoperable, and already deployed in real-world systems.
That collective presence wasn’t just symbolic. It was a snapshot of what real digital transformation looks like: modular, production-ready, and designed to work under real constraints.
So yes, we came with software.
But more than that, we came with proof.
Proof that Romania and Moldova aren’t just outsourcing hubs.
They’re where digital systems are built, tested, and scaled — by teams who know how to make complexity work.
How RomLux made it count
One cannot simply attend an event such as Nexus and anticipate immediate results. You need direction and access.
This year’s edition of Nexus raised the bar — with over 8,500 attendees (a 51% increase from 2024) and a vibrant showcase of ingenuity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit.
RomLux set the tone early on by aligning the Romanian delegation during a pre-event briefing and launching a targeted orientation programme
Figure 3. Romanian Pavilion delegation preparing before Day 1 of Nexus Luxembourg 2025.
RomLux then created a special programme to help us focus and get our message out there:
• Presentations on Luxembourg’s innovation and startup ecosystem — offering a clear view of the environment we were stepping into.
• R&D funding briefings — helping teams understand how to collaborate with local and EU-level mechanisms.
• 1:1 meetings around concrete cooperation opportunities — with both public institutions and private tech buyers.
• Matchmaking through the Swapcard B2B platform — ensuring each team could engage in targeted, high-value conversations across the two days.
We were invited to engage with institutions like Luxinnovation, the University of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology (LIST), Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA) — to explore how our low-code architecture fits into cross-border e-services, workflow orchestration, and AI governance in high-trust environments.
RomLux also extended our reach, introducing us to digital leaders from Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands — helping us test ideas across different markets.
The Romanian Pavilion also gained diplomatic and institutional recognition. We were honored by visits from H.E. Livia Rusu, Romania’s Ambassador to Luxembourg, and Jérôme Petry, Director at the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy. Their presence confirmed that Romania’s tech sector is no longer emerging — it’s being taken seriously on the European stage.
Media recognition and industry attention
We gained strong media and audience engagement, with tailored communications leading up to and during the event. Coverage in leading tech outlets such as TechSense and Silicon Luxembourg confirmed that being part of the Pavilion can help you being heard by key players in shaping the future of digital transformation.
